Train up a child in the way he should go… Proverbs 22:6

Noah’s Ark meets in Room C-130 and is taught by Maggie Quick & Rachel Darks.

Hi.  I am Maggie Quick, member of QSBC and fifth year teacher here at Weekday.  I have been married to my husband, Rick, for 11 years and we have 3 children, ages 8, 7, and 4.  My family and my church have been the greatest blessings in my life and I love to serve them both.  I went to school in New Mexico where I earned my B.A. in English and Psychology.  I love literature, including children’s books, and reading to the kids at circle time is one of my favorite parts of the day.  I am a passionate rockhound.  I play the flute (hopefully someday in the church orchestra) and I love to paint and draw.  My family lives a hobby farm lifestyle where we have a horse, keep bees, raise chickens and goats and grow a large garden every year.  We do a lot of canning and preserving with our harvest.  Hopefully this year you will be able to harvest the spiritual and educational fruits that your child grows in our Weekday Ministries program.  I look forward to knowing some wonderful kids this year and I am sure we will have a great time!

Hello.  My name is Rachel Darks and I am a member here at QSBC.  This will be my second year teaching with the Weekday program.  I am married to Troy Darks and together we have three precious children, Tayah (4 years), Jennie (2 years) and our newest addition, baby Dycen, was born in June.  I am originally from Kansas but have been living in Oklahoma for the past six years.  I graduated from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas in 2004 with a degree in secondary education and went on to teach 8th grade Spanish and History for five years.  I spent time in college studying in Mexico and Spain and I have teaching certificates for both the elementary and secondary levels.  I enjoy camping and spending time with my family.  I believe children are the most glorious gift from God and I am excited to teach your child this year and watch as they learn and grow.
